After getting everyone excited about another instalment in the world’s biggest shoot-em up franchise, Activision has finally blessed us with the multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Undoubtedly the reason many people buy in to the CoD series year on year, the multiplayer has been revamped with better movement, new weapons and game modes and of course, a dog. Everyone loved the dog at the world reveal of Ghosts earlier this year and we can finally end speculation surrounding the name: it’s Riley. There, now you can all sleep easy at night again.
In the trailer we see two brand new game modes in action: Search + Rescue and Cranked. The former involves the dog tags idea brought in with Black Ops 2, with players required to collect tags dropped by enemies in order to ‘send them to the bench’.
Cranked looks to be a completely new game which will no doubt lead to people running around like headless chickens. It works like this: Get a kill and you become ‘cranked’, meaning that you have faster movement and reload speeds. Once ‘cranked’ you have 30 seconds to get another kill before you explode!
We’re also treated to a very brief look at some new weaponry, with a quick demo of the awesome quadricopter perk in action. We for one can’t wait to fly this baby around and wreak havoc!
It looks as though character customisation will play a big part in the multiplayer aspect of Ghosts, with the option to build an entire squad for online play. Players have the ability to unlock up to 10 characters in a squad, each with their own weapons, perks and outfits and each squad member can Prestige.
Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think! Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th.
