Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Elite DLC Maps & Missions Available to Non-Subscribers in Paid “Content Collections”

Those talented developers behind the Call of Duty shooter series have confirmed that the first three month’s worth of its 2012 Modern Warfare 3 DLC line-up, previously only available to Elite Premium account holders, will become available for non-subscribing Xbox 360 owners to purchase at cost in one bundle. Following this, the downloadable goodies from subsequent three month periods will also get the treatment, meaning there will be four special “Content Collection” packages made available throughout the coming year.

Infinity Ward tells that the January, February and March content, which is and is yet-to-be made available through the CoD Elite social gaming network, will be packaged together on Xbox LIVE in “Content Collection #1” and this will include the two maps which were launched in January – Piazza and Liberation, as well as the upcoming February and March maps Overwatch and Black Box, as well as a pair of new “Special Ops” missions called Black Ice and Negotiator. These will become accessible for Elite subscribers on March 13th, but as-of-yet there are no details on a release date or pricing for the first content bundle for non-subscribers.
