With November 8th drawing nearer and pre-orders reaching record heights – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 creators Infinity Ward have dropped another teaser to whet the appetites of eager gamers. In the new clip we get to see some action from the first-person shooter’s “Survival” mode – including some footage of the London battleground.
In the Spec-Ops mode players can team up to defeat and defend against multiple enemies, while earning themselves valuable XP point and some devastating new weapons. An anticipation setting for many British gamers will be the London stage – a war torn setting featuring familiar landmarks and scenery. In the clip we see the capital in ruin with iconic red buses wrecked. In fact it looks eerily close to what we’re currently seeing on the news (see our article on how the social net is helping/hindering the riot efforts).
Infinity Ward’s sneak peak is further explained: “In Survival you will fight off waves of increasingly difficult enemies as you earn XP and unlock several types of armouries to expand your arsenal and load-out customisations along the way.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently up for pre-order, and is launched for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC on November 8th – with publisher Activision’s multiple platform developers Treyarch currently working hard at getting the game out to Nintendo Wii by the end of 2011.
