The crossover will infest the PC platform where Capcom is preparing to unchain Resident Evil 6 on the 22nd of March and thanks to partnership with Left 4 Dead 2 publisher Valve, on April the 5th characters and creatures will be able to step out of their own respective games and into each others gaming realities creating exciting possibilities exclusively for PC players and content will be free for those who have already paid for both Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 digital downloads.
In a statement about this exciting cross franchise event Capcom reveals more:
“Owners of Resident Evil 6 PC will be able to select one of four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2’s iconic cast – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle – when playing PC exclusive mode, The Mercenaries No Mercy. Each character will have a special customized weapon load-out created just for use in Resident Evil 6. In addition to the four survivors, two of the infamous Special Infected zombies from the Left 4 Dead franchise – the Witch and Mini Tank – will also make a cameo appearance in this mode, relentlessly attacking players regardless of whether a character from Left 4 Dead 2 or Resident Evil 6 is chosen.”
On the flip side, bio-hazardous foes from Resident Evil 6 including Lepotitsa, Napad and the monstrous Ogroman will come crashing into the Left 4 Dead 2 – offering more deadly challenges for gamers!
Left 4 Dead 2 is already available to buy and will be joined by Capcom’s latest Resident Evil 6 on PC in physical and digital format on March 22nd. This version will come pre-loaded with a number of the updates which became available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 console editions including solo and co-op missions and in-game camera tweaks.
