Facebook is about to reach a whole new level of addictiveness as games developer Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Kane and Lynch) has announced a new collaboration between itself and Facebook which will see its huge Championship Manager franchise bought to the social media platform.
The online based football manager game will be run by Jolt Online Gaming & Gamestop and will run the game as a free to use software on Facebook and users will be able to play and share thrir teams and updates between each other.
Championship Manager has long been a firm fan favourite of Footballing gamers especially those who like to create, edit and take over the whole premier league and make a super Football team.
Reportedly the Facebook version or Championship manager will operate similar to the recent Beautiful Studios’ PC and iPhone editions, and tailor them for an online experience.
“Championship Manager continues to be an important franchise for Square Enix and we’re excited to be able to bring it to new platforms such as smartphones and now Facebook,” says Phil Rogers, president and CEO of Square Enix Europe. “We have found the perfect partner for this initiative in Jolt/Gamestop and we look forward to working together towards the launch of this new gaming experience.”
So Football and Champ Man fans can rejoice where as Girlfriends and Bosses around the country may cry as the super addictive Facebook platform just got more addictive.
