Pebble Blue might have been a colour that Samsung took longer than expected to, but the Korean company is now looking to make up for the delays by launching a selection of new colour options for the Galaxy SIII.
Samsung has recently added a third colour to the range in the form of ‘Garnet Red’, which is an exclusive colour for the AT&T network in the US. This version features the same brushed effect as the Pebble Blue version, but it’s not yet clear if we’ll get a chance to buy one in the UK.
Our lucky US cousins will be able to pre-order the red version right now ahead of the product’s launch later in the month, and will bag the exclusive version on a contract basis.
It seems Samsung doesn’t want to stop at Garnet Red when it comes to colours, and after speaking with UK tech site Pocket-Lint, it seems many more versions could be on the way. When the website enquired to see if the red version would be coming to the UK, Samsung told them,
“We will be announcing potential colour variants in due course,”
While this isn’t confirmation of any specific colours, it does indicate a strong possibility of new versions of the blockbuster smartphone coming to our fair isle. With such a premium price tag we would expect a glossy black akin to the marble white, and possibly a silver colour. We’ve seen a few mock-ups of luminous pink, green and yellow versions, and we have to say we hope Samsung doesn’t produce anything in that vein.
Which colours would you like to see the Galaxy SIII available in?
