After experiencing setback after setback after setback, it seems as though the QWERTY sliding, Windows Phone 7 toting Dell Venue Pro is finally due a UK release on March 26th.
The Venue Pro was one of the first Windows Phone 7 handsets announced, and was originally due for a November 8th 2010 release. It was then pushed back, and went on pre-order again with Expansys and Clove at the end of October last year.
Unfortunately for those would-be early adopters, Dell issued a notice a few weeks later to customers and retailers stating that the handset would be delayed until January 2011. No reason for the delay was given until Dell posted on their forums, blaming hardware issues for the delay.
Online retailer Clove have updated the product page on their site for the Venue Pro, confirming that first stock will arrive on March 26th. The price has also dropped by £20.63 interestingly, perhaps due to the delays.
Clove say that the handset will be shipped out on the 26th which is a Saturday, and should be with you on the following Monday or Tuesday (28th and 29th respectively). Sit tight, and keep fingers crossed there won’t be another delay!
