E3 2012: Star Wars 1313 Officially Announced – Website & Facebook Page Go Live!

The Electronic Entertainment Expo runs between the 5th and 7th of June and the Gadget Helpline will be following all the major hardware and software announcements from big industry names such as Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony – as well as offering a Daily Recap on many areas of this year’s show!

As reported earlier this week the announcement of a major new Star Wars title has now been ahead of E3! Star Wars 1313 will take the usual Force powers away from gamers letting us explore a darker side of the Galaxy Far, Far Away and playing as a bounty hunter from the corrupt Coruscant Underworld!

Promising a “dark and mature” tone, LucasArts will allow us to train with and use to combat skills of a skilled hunter and crude weapons and gadgets rather than the familiar strength and speed of a Jedi, armed with a lightsaber – which is the usual standard for a Star Wars game.

Details are still vague at present regarding platforms and release dates but Star Wars 1313 will be showcased at E3 and these questions will be answered hopefully with plenty of gameplay footage during the 3 days event. We should expect of game of this scale will be made available for the high-end Xbxo 360 and Playstation 3 and hopefully without much delay!

For now you can check out the teaser page at www.starwars1313.com which shows the silhouetted figure of the main character and clue that this game is based in familiar settings and features star ships and vehicles we know and love such as the TIE-fighters and Imperial Shuttle. LucasArt promises attention to detail and a visual spectacle befitting of the loyal legions of Star Wars fans. As well as checking out the website you can like the Facebook page for this most exciting and very different addition to the Star Wars franchise!

We welcome your thoughts and comments on the E3 event so far and invite you to do so below this article, on The Gadget Helpline on Facebook or via our Twitter @Gadget_Helpline!
