Now that most football seasons have come to a close for the summer we bet you’re itching for a FIFA fix, aren’t you? Fortunately EA Sports has delivered a stop-gap until September in the form of the very first official FIFA 14 gameplay trailer.
As we edge towards the September 27th release date EA is keen to show off new features and revealed something it calls ‘Precision Movement’ at a recent press event. This feature sees the game offer a more realistic take on how easy players can change direction. For example, you’ll no longer be able to run full pelt down the wing and instantly switch directions with ease – at least not with every player. The same goes for defending – dive in for a tackle and miss and you won’t catch the attacker sprinting off towards your goal.
Precision Movement joins a host of other already announced features that aim to make the game the best and most realistic football title to date, including Real Ball Physics and Pure Shot. The latter bases shots and ball movements on the player’s current stance and balance and appears to result in some cracking goals – we cannot wait to get our hands on the game. In the meantime, check out the first gameplay trailer below.
