Windows Phone 7 fans rejoice! The official Facebook app has been updated and it finally includes the push notifications feature.
Grab the update from the Marketplace right now and you’ll be able to receive push notifications which will appear on the Facebook Tile on your homepage as soon as you get them. You can set the app to notify you for new Messages, Wall Posts, Feed Comments, Feed Comment Replies, Photo Tag, Photo Comment, Photo Comment Reply and more. If you don’t want to get notifications for just about everything it’s no problem; you can toggle each notification on or off within the app!
We’ve given it a go and it feels great and push notifications come through pretty much instantly (depending on your network connection of course). It’s taken a while but we’re finally there; the Facebook app for WP7 phone that we’ve all been waiting for.
