Mozilla have just announced via their blog that Firefox 4 has now been released for Android, and also for Maemo OS devices as well.
The desktop version of Firefox 4 performed very well when the stable version was released, and I’m guessing that this version would also prove to be a very popular alternative to the stock Android browser as well.
In fact, according to Mozilla, Firefox 4 is up to three times faster than the stock Android version and comes with other big enhancements to its JavaScript engine, allowing the browser to load websites much faster.
