Firefox 4 arrives for Android

Mozilla have just announced via their blog that Firefox 4 has now been released for Android, and also for Maemo OS devices as well.

The desktop version of Firefox 4 performed very well when the stable version was released, and I’m guessing that this version would also prove to be a very popular alternative to the stock Android browser as well.

In fact, according to Mozilla, Firefox 4 is up to three times faster than the stock Android version and comes with other big enhancements to its JavaScript engine, allowing the browser to load websites much faster.

If you’re interested in the full feature list, you can head on over to the Mozilla blog, also if you want to see the new browser in action, don’t forget to take a look at the video below.

You can head on over to the Android Marketplace now where you can download Firefox 4 for Android now. Also, don’t forget to tell us your thoughts on the latest Android browser or tweet us @Gadget_Helpline
