It’s official. The Flagship LG G3 smartphone is on its way! LG have started to send out invites to their event that is officially said to reveal the new flagship phone across London, New York, San Francisco, Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul on May 27th.
LG has confirmed a second quarterly launch, which pretty much means the G3 handset will be released within the next few months. The flagship LG G3 is expected to vastly improve their sales when it becomes available between now and the end of June as stated by LG themselves. LG have been heard saying in a quarterly report “Higher revenues are expected in the second quarter with the release of the flagship LG G3 smartphone.”

The G3 is understood to come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a 2560×1440 resolution, OIS+ camera, 3GB of RAM, a 16GB or 32GB storage choice, and microSD slot as well as the new look rear buttons and a sensor suggested to improve the camera performance. It is also suspected to be running Android 4.4 KitKat, no surprise for a lead handset.
The G3 is going to be LG’s flagship phone, so expectations will be high, as will the official specification no doubt. With the success of the LG G2, LG will have a lot to live up to with this one and may have problems keeping that momentum and expectations going high. However as the G2 placed them on the map, I have high hopes that the G3 will definitely be a worthy competitor for the likes of Samsung and Sony.
LG has impressed us with the G3 which comes in at under £500 but packs amazing features including that Quad HD and a camera with a laser auto focus. The device is surprisingly small considering the 5.5in display and we like the more premium design. It’s another winner from LG.
