Forza 4 Demo Now Available on Xbox 360

After a long wait, Xbox 360 gamers can download the Forza 4 demo and get into the racing seat to try out the hottest racing game on the planet.

The Xbox 360-only racer, made by Turn 10, has gathered a huge following since the first version of the game was released along with the original Xbox console. The game is considered by many Xbox users to be the equivalent to (or better than) the Playstation-only Gran Turismo racing game.

You’ll need to be a Gold member on Xbox Live in order to get the download, which is available worldwide today on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The demo itself is 1.27GB in size, so make sure you’ve got enough free memory on your console before starting the download. You can check your console’s memory status by going into the Dashboard, then into System Settings, then Memory.

Those who download the demo will be able to take part in a ‘Quick Race’ option which takes place on the Burnese Alps track. You’ll also be able to try out the new ‘Rivals’ mode, in which players can challenge each other in a number of different events, including drifting, hot lapping and autocross.

Perhaps most importantly are the cars you’ll get to test drive in the demo – everyone wants there to be a sweet car available, right? Well, you’ll be able to take your pick from the Kia Cee’d, a 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, a 2011 Subaru WRX STi and a 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO. Not too shabby, we’d say.

At the moment you won’t find the demo in the demos section – You’ll need to head to the A-Z of the Marketplace and search for Forza 4 to find it.
