If you happen to be after a new waterproof digital camera for all your underwater photography needs, then look no further than the new Finepix XP170 which has just been unveiled by Fujifilm.
As well as being waterproof up to 10 meters, the camera is also dustproof making it ideal for taking pictures on the beach. It is also shockproof up to 2 meters and freeze proof to a temperature of -10°C
The Finepix XP170 is nicely equipped with some cool features which include wireless image transfer, which will allow you to quickly and easily share your pictures wirelessly to your computer, tablet device or even your smartphone. You can then choose to upload the images to your favourite social networking site.
The camera features a respectable 14.4MP sensor, which will be more than adequate for most users. It also has a 5x optical zoom lens with a focal length equivalent to 28 – 140mm on a standard film camera. The battery is fairly decent too; you should be able to capture around 300 shots on a single charge.
There is also various shooting modes available which include: SR AUTO, AUTO, P, Pro low-light, Dynamic range, Natural Light & with Flash, Natural Light, Portrait, Portrait enhancer, Landscape, Sport, Night, Night (Tripod), Sunset, Snow, Beach, Under water, Under water (Wide), Under water (Macro), Party, Flower, Text, Motion panorama360. So hopefully with all these settings, you should be able to capture that perfect shot no matter what sort of environment you are in.
David Troy, who is marketing director of digital cameras at FUJIFILM North America, explains:
