Fujitsu launches first Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) handset in Japan

  • by

Fujitsu has just launched the world’s first mobile handset to feature the second coming of Window Phone 7 – formerly known as Mango and now officially Windows Phone 7.5.

As part of the tag team with new buddies Toshiba, the Japanese tech co.’s IS12T model has just gone on sale in the Far East. The Mango-packing mobile displays the new OS update on a 3.7” LCD screen running 800 x 480 resolution, with an impressive 13.2-megapixel onboard camera.

The Fujitsu IS12T is built to last with shock-proofing and water-resistant casing, there’s a choice of fruity colours to pick from, including a hot pink and a bright lime green – or if, like us, you enjoy having your eyesight, there’s a plain black alternative.

The first mobile to feature Microsoft’s WP7.5 is also the first to come from the partnership between Fujitsu and Toshiba. Both hungry Japanese tech companies are eager to break into international markets.

More Windows Phones are set to come, this time from HTC, next week at an event in London. The Omega and Eternity are set to get a first public outing on September 1st, read more and find out how you can attend by reading the Gadget Helpline article – here.
