Formerly known as the Galaxy S5 Zoom, images of the rumoured Galaxy K Zoom have started to filter through the all-knowing and appear online for everyone to see!
In the leaked snap, the zoom lens and the body of the device appear to be slimmed-down from the S4’s Zoom more bulbous frame, with some more curved edges and an all over lighter feel. The handset also shares some of its namesakes features like a White dimpled back an metallic trim.
Primarily focused on the idea of photography, the phone will feature an optical zoom lens on the back; combining the needs for professional looking selfies and calling your friends. Although the design is remarkably similar to that of its predecessor, it is thought to be thinner than the S4 Zoom, making it more user-friendly and can be used as a phone comfortably and easily.

The Galaxy K Zoom is alleged to feature a 20-megapixel camera with a 10x optical zoom and flash, 2GB of RAM and running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Pretty good considering it’s doing two things at once, it really seems like it could be the best of both worlds; instead of compromising one aspect to better another, like the S4 Zoom did.
Samsung has arranged a media event day in Singapore with the tagline “Kapture the moment” and an image of a “K”. This is a rather obvious hint at the idea of it being a camera based item and them unveiling the Galaxy K Zoom. Subtle Samsung, real subtle!
Here’s to hoping that the K Zoom will do much better than the S4 Zoom did. If the success of the Galaxy S5 is anything to go by, it shouldn’t be a hard task!
