LA Noire Three Times the Fun on Xbox DVDs – PS3 Blu Rays Unaffected
Now we all know that upcoming epic LA Noire is going to be big, but according to Jeronimo Barrera in a Kotaku interview, the game is going to span an epic three discs on the Xbox 360’s DVD format discs.
“L.A. Noire was always going to be a massive game, from the size and detail of the world to the length of the cases, and of course, the sheer amount of MotionScan data required for the faces of over 400 actors in-game,” said Barrera.
“To tell the story and make the game we wanted to make, we knew that it was going to take an entire single layer Blu-ray disc and three Xbox discs.”
So for PS3 fans, the song remains the same, but still, a whole single layer Blu-Ray means the game is roughly 25 Gigabytes large. Whoa.
Luckily, the way the game goes along is decent protection from unwanted cut-off and disc switching as some other games would have you do.
“Since the game is built around the concept of progressing through individual cases from desk to desk, players on Xbox will find disc-swapping is hassle-free,” Barerra revealed.
“In fact, players will only need to swap discs twice at natural breaks between cases without interrupting the flow of the game.”
Seemingly picking up only a short generation after Red Dead Redemption left off, LA Noire is looking to be quite the summer blockbuster this year.
The game hits May 20th, just 14 days, or two weeks, to go!

Super Meat Boy Level Editor and Super Meat World Now Available
Super Meat Boy is a perfect snack size gaming delight freshly delivered by developer Team Meat. The pal former that took the world by storm just got better too, with the new level editor and Super Meat World, a sort of hub for all the latest and greatest user-based content.
The level editor is free to download in the “Tools” section on Steam. The level editor’s release coincides with that of the awesome new hub for the best user made maps and new levels from other developers and studios, Super Meat World.
Creation in the level editor is basically as simple as creating new levels with assets from old ones, all except boss fights and warp zones. You can even make several levels and wrap them up into a ‘meaty’ chapter of your own, complete with important par times, custom titles and soundtrack. Your weird new levels can then be submitted to Super Meat World and get a rating from the community.
Team Meat say that SMB is all done and dusted, apart from a final update in a few days designed to fix level editor bugs, and they are soon going to move on to their next game.
Team Meat also stated emphatically that “there will never, ever be a Super Meat Boy 2.”
