Angry Birds Space is launched following was big promotion through social network Facebook, the Rovio mobile’s YouTube channel and even NASA have got in on the action – officially announcing the game from the International Space Station in orbit of Earth!
Now T-Mobile and the games developer have taken over the Space Needle observation tower in Seattle, Washington – hooking the famous landmark up with an enormous catapult complete with giant red bird! Stretching more than half the length of the 605 feet tall structure, which itself was based on the UFOs as seen in sci-fi movies.
The bird sitting in wait is 35 feet in width and is held to the ground by strong supports preventing the slingshot from misfiring – if those restraints break, Big Red could really fly!
The Angry Birds set off on their new intergalactic mission – Angry Birds Space – this Thursday on Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as Android gadgets – but not Windows Phone. We gave the exciting latest addition to the nest a launch day try out which you can read – Here.
