For those that don’t know, Hulu is a very popular movie streaming service in the US which also allows users to access ad-supported on demand TV shows, “webisodes” and various other media content.
And now, reports are suggesting that Google are currently in talks to buy the streaming service, which the company may use to bolster their already established user-generated content on YouTube, with professionally produced content as well.
Google are not the only interested party it would seem, as the likes of Microsoft and Yahoo Inc have also been in talks with Hulu and are both also very interested in getting their hands on the online video streaming company.
The prospect of buying Hulu was recently made more appealing when the company managed to secure a new licensing agreement to show content produced by two of the biggest names in the business – Walt Disney Co and also News Corp.
