UK network Three has confirmed that it will be stocking the LG-made Google Nexus 4 in the very near future, making it the second network to officially offer the latest flagship phone.
O2’s one month exclusivity deal with the new phone is soon to come to an end, meaning that rival networks can start offering deals. Although some third party retailers have been offering the phone on Vodafone during the exclusivity period, Three is the first to officially confirm plans to stock the phone after O2.
Unfortunately for eager buyers the network has not confirmed a timescale for its launch of the product, merely stating that it will be coming “soon”. The handset first went on sale with O2 on November 13th, so we would expect Three to jump on the bandwagon as soon as possible after that date.
Perhaps the most popular buying option for the Nexus 4 was to buy it outright in SIM-free form from the Google Play Store. Available in 8GB and 16GB sizes for £239 and £279 respectively, the handset is offered at a very reasonable price by Google, which is likely the reason why every single last one sold out here in the UK and in other countries within a matter of minutes.
If you’d rather pick up the handset on contract then perhaps Three is the way forward – the Nexus 4 is a speed demon that blazes through the web, and Three’s network is made for doing just that.
