Google Nexus 7 Jelly Bean Tablet Unboxing and First Time Setup Guide

  • by

The Google Nexus 7 is finally here, hoping to usher in a new generation of smaller tablets to rival the dominance of the 9-10 inch tablet form factor.

With a great deal of hype and strong first week sales, we thought we’d do a quick unboxing and first time setup guide video for you guys to peruse while you wait for our full review, which should be up very soon.

Costing just £159 for the 8GB model we weren’t expecting much in the way of packaging and accessories, but nevertheless the Nexus 7 comes (extremely) well packed into a neat little black box. Unfortunately you don’t get any headphones to use with the device, just a mains charger, micro USB cable, warranty information, and first time setup guide.

For those who want to take a peek at how Android 4.1 Jelly Bean compares to previous versions of Android in terms of setting it up, our video showcases the full procedure. For the novice Android user and new Nexus 7 owner, our video will guide you through the full setup procedure – it’s not as tricky as it first looks!

We found Jelly Bean a cinch to setup, provided you have the required details for connecting to Wi-Fi of course. Google seems to have simplified the setup process, allowing the user to be set up and ready to use the device in just a few minutes, which we like.

Our full review of the Google Nexus 7 and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be hitting our YouTube channel very soon, so stay tuned, and subscribe!
