Today has been a pretty good day for Grand Theft Auto fans. Amazon has hinted the release date for GTA V as being in December 2012, and now a list of vehicles from the game has been uncovered.
A lengthy list of vehicles from the highly anticipated game has been found hidden in a text file on the disc for Rockstar Games’ latest release, Max Payne 3, of all places.
While it may seem a strange place for data to be held on an unreleased blockbuster game title, Rockstar has done this before. GTA game data was found on the discs for previous titles including Bully and Red Dead Redemption, so it seems the list could well be legit, and has likely been put there on purpose.
The clever people over at GTA Forums uncovered the text files hidden on the disc, which show us that in GTA V we’ll be able to take control of cars, motorbikes, helicopters, a plane, boats, and even trains in the game.
If you thought that was good, there will also be a BMX, Gunboat, monorail and a tank, according to the new information.
While the list of vehicles is only in text format, it gives us a good clue about the expansiveness of the new game. The trains are likely to be subway trains, which means that there could be a whole new underground layer to the game.
Some of the car names seem familiar from previous GTA titles, such as Bobcat, while plenty seem new. Check out the full list below and let us know what you think.
