Microsoft is preparing to deploy the latest instalment of the successful sci-fi shooter HALO and to accompany the much-anticipated launch of the third true sequel (and eighth title the franchise’s 11 year legacy) the computing and gaming co. has revealed a special HALO 4 Xbox 360 console which can be pre-ordered now – provided you live in the States.
The limited edition Xbox 360 console – a generous 320 gigger – features a mechanical finish, looking just like the futuristic tech players will get to grips with in the upcoming HALO 4 game. Co-incidentally a copy of the new game will be thrown in and the bundle also includes two matching wireless controllers, exclusive downloadable armour pack and weapons skins as well as a headset for taunting your online rivals in Xbox LIVE play. With a great attention to detail Microsoft has even added HALO sound FX to the disc drive when opening.
IGN.com covered the announcement of the HALO 4 Xbox 360 console offering a web-link to Microsoft’s American pre-order page which unfortunately brings up nothing when we visit the site. The entertainment news source does however offer up a price of $399 for the game system which is (was) available to pre-order now for November 6th shipping.
The Gadget Helpline has contacted Microsoft (via Twitter, of course) to find out if and when the HALO Xbox 360 might surface over here in the U.K and we bring our readers the latest info. Until then enjoy the brand new HALO 4: Forward Unto Dawn trailer which has been appearing at the San Diego Comic Con this week!
