This time last year we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of Sony’s latest handheld games console, the PS Vita, but now a year on and with the console not exactly fulfilling our expectations, Sony has decided to not give up on the device and instead offer its owners a host of free games to celebrate.
Yes, for the PlayStation Vita’s 1st Birthday Sony is giving you presents! This comes in the form of a host of free games from consoles past that users can download onto the handheld gaming device.
Fear not, this isn’t another PlayStation Plus subscriber-only deal – the free games are available to all PS Vita owners for a limited time period. Four retro games for PS Vita will be free from March 5th to March 11th: Wild Arms, which was originally on the PSone, Patapon, Piyotama and Patchwork Heroes, all of which were from the original PSP.
What’s more, Sony is offering a host of celebration discounts to current PS Vita games on the PSN, but this time PlayStation Plus premium subscribers will get a better deal as Sony is offering a 30% discount to all standard users on a selection of games, or for PS Plus users there will be a massive 50% off!
The following games are discounted:
- Army Corps of Hell
