HTC One 2 Launch Event Set for Tuesday 25th March

  • by

HTC has confirmed a date for the launch of its next flagship  Android smartphone, and whether you call it the HTC M8, the HTC One Plus or the HTC One 2, it’s scheduled to arrive on Tuesday the 25th of March 2014.

Taiwan-based mobile company HTC used its UK Twitter feed to announce the launch event on “25 03 14” and suggested we use the hashtag #SaveTheDate to spread the news.

Despite not giving away exactly which product they will be unveiling next month, the reasoning behind the event seems obvious – considering the preceding HTC One was outed a year prior it’s easy to suspect that the HTC One 2 will be the product in question. And of course the follow up tweet suggesting ‘The best is about to get better’ is a boast that can only relate to HTC’s finest.

So what can we expect from ‘the best’?

Rumour suggests the HTC One 2 will come running the latest Android 4.4 KitKit software complimented by HTC Sense 6.0 with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 powerfully processing the smartphone’s functions. The handset will come with 5.2-inch full HD display with 2GB of RAM on board and we should also expect a focus on improved camera tech with Ultrapixel dual lenses.

The launch event for HTC One 2 will take place on Tuesday 25th March on both sides of the pond, in London at 4pm GMT and New York at 11am EST.
