Codenamed the HTC M8, but often referred to as the HTC One 2 or HTC One (2014) the new handset has broken cover in picture form once again via social network Twitter.
Believed to be the next flagship Android smartphone from Taiwanese tech co. HTC, the M8 will presumably be the successor to the M7 which in 2012 turned out to be the original HTC One and in the latest leaked image the follow-up appears to confirm the more rounded casing with curved back plate and a stylish silvery finish that emerged recently.
Previous spec rumours suggest the HTC One 2/M8 would come running latest Android 4.4 KitKit with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 powerfully processing the smartphone’s functions with 2GB of RAM on board. There could also be a focus on improving on the model’s camera tech with dual lenses.
As the original HTC One was first announced at the Mobile World Congress in 2012 we can perhaps expect to see the second One become an official part of the line-up at this year’s event which will take place in Barcelona from 24th to 27th of February.
UPDATE:
Another image has since emerged and a closer confirmation of a name for the new HTC flagship smartphone. Forget HTC M8 and HTC One 2, we could now be looking at the HTC ONE PLUS. And here it is..
