HTC Amaze 4G becomes official through T-Mobile USA

T-Mobile has outted the HTC Amaze 4G, the impressive smartphone formerly known as Ruby. This little gem was mentioned in earlier promotional materials which stated October 26th as its release and with its earlier moniker but now it’s gone official through the Stateside division of the mobile network carrier and the release date, like the title, has also undergone a change.

As previously rumoured, the HTC Amaze 4G with Android and a whopping 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 4.3” qHD display and 4G connectivity are confirmed, as are the Near Field Communications chip, myTouch, 4G Slide and the 8-megapixel camera.

The camera is of impressive tech, including backlit image sensor and HDR capture. There’s also a generous bunch of features to back the camera and please the snap happy amongst us. There’s SmartShot, which takes five snaps – combining them into one perfect image. BurstShot takes a sequence of five shots to capture some short action sequences. SweepShot is a panoramic tool. ClearShot delivers that HDR imaging in sharp and clear quality in any kind of lighting. And Perfect Pics sorts your photos into order of quality.

The Amaze 4G makes the HTC Sensation redundant as the jewel in the HTC crown and even looks set to outshine the HTC Sensation 4G when the former Ruby goes on sale for $259.99 on October 12th through T-Mobile in the States.
