HTC confirm EVO 3D is coming to Europe?

HTC’s first 3D mobile phone, the HTC EVO 3D, was officially announced on the US network Sprint at the CTIA wireless event last week.

We had initially feared that European shores would never get to see the 3D beast, but HTC’s French division have seemingly leaked a bit of information regarding that on Twitter.

HTC_fr tweeted the following message yesterday: “Un #HTC Evo 3D pour la France ca vous dit? Nous oui! Et même qu’il garde le même nom ; ) Date de dispo nom confirmée.”

Now my French isn’t exactly perfect but I’m sure that roughly translates to “You want a HTC Evo 3D for France? Us too! It will keep the same name ; ) The date is not yet confirmed.”

The HTC Evo 3D is due for a release in the states this “summer”, bringing its dual-cameras, dual-core processor, HD and 3D video capture and playback along with Android Gingerbread (2.3) to the Sprint network initially. It’s now looking very positive for European customers who have been keeping their fingers crossed for the Evo 3D making it across the pond.
