Finally, we get to see exactly what the rumoured HTC Desire C looks like, thanks to some leaked press shots along with spec info courtesy of Vodafone Portugal.
We’ve previously seen some typical blurry images of the upcoming device, however we have now been treated to some high quality press shots, so we can take a good look at this new Android running smartphone.
Apparently, the marketing department for Vodafone in Portugal jumped the gun by accidently including the Desire C in a sales catalogue, even though the handset hasn’t even been officially announced yet – whoops.
So, as you can see from the image, it obviously has a fair few similarities to some of the current offerings from HTC, although a little on the smaller side. According to the specification including alongside the image in the catalogue, the Desire C will feature a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480. It will be powered with a 600Mhz CPU, and apparently have 3.5G connectivity, and although we’re not quite sure what that it, we’re guessing its most probably HSDPA. Also included will be 4GB of internal memory and a 5MP snapper. Oh, finally and arguably most important, this fairly low-spec handset will be running the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android straight of the box – hurray!
Unfortunately, it would seem that the catalogue doesn’t include information about pricing. Although, according to reports its though that it will retail for less than €200. Now that this latest leak has made its way onto the World Wide Web, hopefully HTC may decide its now the right time to officially announce the handset and give us an ideal as to when it will available and exactly how much it will cost. And if they do, you can be assured we’ll have all the latest info here.
