The Full HD powerhouse that is the HTC Droid DNA will soon be going worldwide, and indeed to the UK, under the guise of the HTC Deluxe.
We’ve seen this phone launch in Japan as the HTC J Butterfly and in the US this week as the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon Wireless, waiting with baited breath and firmly crossed fingers, hoping for a worldwide launch. Serial leakers @evleaks have just posted an image of what they say is the worldwide edition of the phone, called the HTC Deluxe.
The phone has previously gone by the name of the HTC DLX, which is of course just ‘Deluxe’ shortened. No specifications for the world edition were revealed, with only a picture posted, although we’re expecting everything to stay the same.
That would mean the stunning 5-inch Full HD 1080p display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and Android Jelly Bean will all be present out of the box. One feature we are dubious of however is 4G LTE – We have EE here in the UK to support it and various other European countries also have 4G networks, but it might not be considered enough of a market to bring a 4G enabled version of the phone to markets outside of Japan and the US.
The image itself appears to be a render and not a real life shot, although it looks as though the design will stay much the same, with the black and red theme. Overall much of the handset is black, accented by a red earpiece and red touch buttons below the screen.
With any luck HTC will reveal the Deluxe soon and launch it in time for Christmas.
