HTC One E8 Announced as Plastic Cased Cheaper Alternative

Following up from the HTC One M8, the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer is already set to release One more and have now announced some familiar specifications for the HTC One E8 – a plastic cased variant of the original One, complete with the Dual SIM and full 4G capability.

In terms of design the HTC One E8 is hyped as a ‘fashion phone’ and replaces the aluminium shell for a plastic one, available in new choice of colours, which still manages to capture style without sacrificing much of the substance. The handset weighs just 145 grams a slight bit lighter than the first One and just like the HTC One, the HTC One E8 will arrive firstly in China running Android 4.4.2 complimented with HTC’s own user interface, Sense 6 with Motion Launch gesture interaction and HTC BoomSound for enhanced audio (because no more Beats.)

Processing will again be handled by 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU in Asia and 2.3GHz in other global regions when it eventually gets out there. The HTC One E8 also features 5-inch 1080p HD touchscreen display and 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with expansion available via microSD up to 128GB.

Camera spec is set to change from the original HTC One, as the previous Ultrapixel Duo shooter becomes a 13-megapixel model on the HTC One E8, so less depth perception can be expected. Also the infrared feature is lest out – a pair of minor exclusions for the fantastic in plastic handset and more importantly making it a more affordable 4G handset.
