HTC’s future Android tablet beast the HTC Flyer is soon to get a release on the general public but after months of waiting we have finally been granted a look at how much the Dual-Core Android Honeycomb device will be.
The Carphone Warehouse has gone and broken the silence by placing the HTC Flyer as available to Pre-Order on its website with a £599.99 price tag.
The HTC Flyer is a 7 inch 1024 x 600 res tablet which will run Android 2.4, a modified version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will be upgraded to Android Honeycomb version 3.0 with a brand spanking new version of HTC Sense laid over the top for added functionality. The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm chip with a processing power of 1.5GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage to back it up.
The pricing of the Carphone Warehouse’s Flyer seems in line with the previous leak. It has also been ousted by Germanys Amazon website whilst has the Tablet down as costing €669.99.
We still have no word on when the HTC Flyer is to be released but with the rumoured mid-April 2011 release date approaching we can only assume it’s coming very soon.
