Yesterday we wrote about a leaked image of the HTC One X+ Android smartphone that had been placed online by serial phone leakers @Evleaks on Twitter, and today some more information on the supposed flagship HTC device has leaked online.
Today’s leak comes from some promotional material for the Jelly Bean-sporting One X+ smartphone, which was reportedly for UK network O2. The information states that the One X+ will come with a much larger than expected processor – a 1.7GHz quad-core processor instead of the 1.5GHz quad-core chipset that we originally thought it would be housing.
Also inside the Android device will be a whopping 64GB of internal storage which blows its competitors out of the park for built in memory, with only the iPhone 5 (the biggest version that comes in at a huge £800) currently offering this much inbuilt storage – Samsung’s 64GB Galaxy S III is still yet to make it to the market.
As we had expected, the Android phone will also come with the latest Jelly Bean software, version 4.1, plus much of the HTC Sense features such as Dropbox (which add 25GB of free cloud storage) and social media functionality.
What the new information does point out is that the HTC One X+ is just an incremental update on the older One X handset, but with the new features it’s sure to add some extra life to the One range of HTC phones.
O2 has also revealed that they will be pricing the PAYG version of the phone at £479.99, which places that in the upper tier of their monthly contracts, but you should still be able to pick it up for £35-40 a month.
There is still no official news on the when the HTC One X+ will be hitting the shelves but we will bet it’s coming very soon!
