Well, it’s looking like HTC’s next smartphone will be the rumoured HTC One Mini 2 (yes, it’s a confusing name) as a professional looking press shot has been leaked online by the very reliable @Evleaks twitter feed.
The official press shot of the One Mini 2 was posted online yesterday morning and shows of the smaller version of the flagship HTC One (M8), in the same three colour variations as its older (bigger) sibling with a Metal Grey, Arctic Silver and Amber Gold on display.
The handsets also share the same design profile as the M8 with its similar shape and design, however one thing it appears to not share with the Flagship phones is the second rear camera lens (in the M8, this measures depth and allows post-shooting focus change) meaning that the Mini 2 won’t have the same camera features.

The rest of the rumoured spec for the handset is pretty standard for a current mid-ranged handset with its 4.5-inch 720p screen, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, HTC Sense 6.0 and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. Memory wise its said to have 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
Normally, if a press shot has been put together (and then leaked) it means the handset is not far away from being released, so we expect to hear more official news on the HTC One Mini 2 in the next few weeks.
