HTC Ville coming with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – First to include 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 chip

  • by

It’s become tradition that gadgets made by Taiwanese co. HTC hit the rumour mill or are leaked prematurely through the all-seeing internet. The latest addition to the range, the HTC Ville – suggested to be the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s newest dual-core S4 CPU – is no exception, with a leaked concept image and rumoured spec being discussed across the tech community this morning. Here’s the latest..

If we are to believe the speculation, the HTC Ville is expected to make its first official public appearance at February’s Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, and will run the tasty new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software along with HTC Sense 4.0 on the latest super-speedy 1.5GHz S4 chip from Qualcomm.

The casing is said to be a unibody aluminium construct measuring just 8mm in thickness, and we can also expect a generous 4.3” qHD touchscreen to fill much of the gadget’s frontage, an 8-megapixel rear-camera and Beats Audio enhanced features with stylish ear-gear to compliment the high quality tunes. Life longevity is supported by a 1650mAh battery.

1.5GHZ of powerful processing is some impressive horsepower on any other day, but one day after the leak of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core packing HTC Edge (yes, another leak!), the Ville looks to be outmuscled by its own stable-mate.
