HTC’s rollout of handsets aimed at the female mobile user continues, with the announcement of the HTC Wildfire S in a new champagne pink colour scheme.
Joining girl-pal, the HTC Bliss, the new-look Wildfire S will be coming in at ‘mid-range pricing’ from Phones4U in the United Kingdom. Featuring Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC’s own Sense software displayed on a 3.2” touchscreen, as well as handy 5-megapixel camera at the rear and coming with all the same features as its more masculine schemed grey and black siblings. It looks and feels like a top-range smartphone, but of course with its 528 MHz it does struggle on some of the larger tasks, such as web video playback and some games.
Phones4U will be offering the feminine themed HTC Wildlfire S free with 2 year contracts of £15 per month or more, with a PAYG price not yet available but is estimated to be below £200.
