Notorious serial tech leaker @evleaks has struck again today this time seemingly leaking images of a new budget ranged Huawei Ascend Android running smartphone called the Ascent G700 which could see the rising company release a new mid range smartphone to backup its massive 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate that has recently been unleashed in china.
Rumour has it that the Huawei Ascend G700 will be an Android Jelly Bean 4.2 running smartphone with some impressive stats including a 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core MediaTek mt6589 processor.
Its looking like 2013 could be Huawei’s year with increasingly good quality smartphones coming out of the Chinese manufacturers base and more of these are being released in Europe with both the Android and Windows Phone 8 operating systems.
None of the sources have stated any pricing information but Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo pointed out that the previous Huawei’s G-series phones were priced below ¥2,000 which converts to just £212 here in the Uk.
At the start of 2013 we at the Gadget Helpline predicted that Huawei and its Chinese counterparts ZTE would become mainstream brands in 2013 and with specs like the leaked G700’s being for a budget phone we can see our predictions coming truer as the days go by.
