Huawei has responded with today’s launch event and pre-orders have now begun for the Honor 5C which for just £149.99 will come running a ‘super-smooth’ version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow featuring EMUI (Emotion UI) 4.1 – Huawei’s own software suite displaying on a 5.2-inch LCD touchscreen with mas resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. ‘super-efficient’ HiSilicon Kirin 650 octo-core chipset for a 65% performance boost, 100% increase in GPU performance and 40% cut in power consumption over its predecessor – All really super.

But that’s not all. The 5C handset also comes with a very generous non-removable battery with 3,000 mAh capacity and 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage are on board for handling and storing data. The main/rear camera offers 13-megapizel sharp shooting with its 5P macro lens and arsenal of various filters and ‘beauty modes’ and for selfies there’s an ample 8-megapixels up front.
