iPhone 5 camera: Device component suggests thinner handset

  • by

While you can never be sure that what you stumble across on the interweb is true, as we near the iPhone 5’s rumoured September release a smattering of leaked component parts are starting to surface. The newest of these is the camera, which, according to website Greek iPhone, points to a much thinner overall design…

The camera part pictured, if it is indeed from Apple’s next blower, would suggest that the iPhone 5 could be a fair wack slimmer than the current model, while upping the ante in terms of megapixels at the same time.

According to rumour, Sony is supplying Apple with its next-gen cams, and the sensors will best the iPhone 4’s by ramping things up from 5 to 8 megapixels. Of course, nothing’s certain until Apple themselves lift the lid, but with the launch set for September, we’ve not long to wait yet.
