More leaked images of new iPad 5th generation appear online

Another day, another Apple leak. This time some leaked images of the supposed iPad 5 have been leaked online by Sonny Dickson, who has a history of reliable leaks and information with Apple goods. The images show off the screen casing of the Apple’s next iPad in white.

The up-close shots of the iPad 5 front panel reveal once again that Apple’s next tablet will have a similar design to the current iPad Mini, which itself shares design aspects with the iPhone 5 (a design which is rumoured to carry on to the iPhone 5S).

What this means is that the device could be more square looking, but if it is like the iPad Mini then we can also expect a slimmer device than its predecessors. Apart from this design, the images reveal very little. We can see a white iPad casing and the standard home button is there, plus a space for a front facing camera on the top. We expect Apple to launch the new iPad in the customary black and white variants, though other colours have been rumoured.

We are expecting an announcement on September 10th from Apple, which is likely to hold at least one new iPhone – the 5S – if not two. Apple tends to launch a new iPad later in the year, so we don’t expect to see this device in its full glory next month.

Apple is sticking with its usual very tight lipped approach to new devices, but with so many leaked images of the iPad 5, iPhone 5S and 5C surfacing online we already have a pretty clear picture as to what is coming.
