LG Optimus 3D Max Leaks with Specifications and Photos

  • by

LG had a bad 2011 on the back of some quickly out-dated flagship phones like the LG Optimus 2X and the Optimus 3D, losing market share worldwide. This year, they’re trying to turn around the trend with the latest models of their top phones, including the Optimus 4X and the LG Optimus 3D Max.

We’ve just got more information on the latter handset with the release of press images and specifications of a never-before-seen white LG Optimus 3D Max. The images, which show a Chinese version of the phone, show off the thinner and lighter 3D handset. According to the source, the phone will be thinned from 11.9 mm to 9.8 mm and 20g will be dropped from the phone’s weight as well.

The phone will continue to embrace its 3D nature, offering a 3D HD display that uses S-LCD technology (so no Super AMOLED) but should still be quite bright. The operating system shown on the handset hasn’t been revealed, but the lack of visible buttons should indicate Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone will also support HDMI and DNLA connectivity.

The phone will reportedly be released in the March this year and formally announced by LG at the Mobile World Congress, which begins in two weeks’ time in Barcelona.
