If you’re in the market for a new Android smartphone and you also happen to be a fan of LG, you may be interested in knowing that the company’s flagship device is now available in Europe.
In the announcement, the South Korean Company has said that the Optimus 4X HD will be arriving in Germany first, and will make its way across to the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK and also Italy afterwards.
As well as confirming that the Android smartphone will be landing in Europe, LG also confirmed that it will also be made available in Asia and also South and Central America within the next few months. Unfortunately though, LG has not confirmed (as yet) any dates as to when this will happen.
Now, if you’re not that familiar with what the new Optimus 4X HD has to offer, you can expect a pretty decent spec to say the least. It features a mighty quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.5 GHz CPU along with a massive 4.7-inch IPS HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. It also offers the latest Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) version of Android and has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You can also expect all the usual wireless technologies, including NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA, as well as an MHL link too.
The Optimus 4X HD can capture all your photos and videos using the 8MP camera located on the back of the handset; this will allow you to capture full HD video in 1080p quality. On the front there is also a 1.3MP senor camera which should provide excellent quality for video chats.
Dr. Jong-Seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications said: “The Optimus 4X HD is fast but speed alone isn’t what makes this smartphone so great. Differentiated User Experience and exclusive features LG engineers have developed for this device set this phone apart as much as it’s Tegra 3 brain. With Optimus 4X HD, we’ve set the bar quite high for the industry and the competition.”
