LG’s latest TV is truly a beast from the east! The Korean tech co. has just let loose its mega-sized 84-inch 3D Smart TV and this monster will take a starring role at the annual IFA in Berlin beginning on the 31st of August to the 5th of September just a week before unleashing it to the worldwide public.
The price of the LG UD 3D TV is of equally epic proportions. For a whopping price tag around £14,000 those well-off enough to afford such a luxury will be able to enjoy an eye-blistering 8-million pixels per frame courtesy of LG’s ‘Triple XD’ engine as well as a vast range of Smart TV features including apps, games and digital content.
LG boasts that the 84-inch UD 3D TV “is the company’s response to growing consumer demand for larger, more immersive home TVs with greater functionality.” – It also seems to be a response to the growing competition from the likes of Sharp (which is soon to be pushing a 90-inch model of its own) and South Korean neighbour Samsung – both of which are also pioneering the current trend that bigger means better!
The set looks pretty incredible and we’re hoping the price comes down a little when it finally lands globally on September 13th (we still won’t be able to afford one – but that dream will be a tiny bit closer!)
