LG’s Impressive Range of Cinema 3D TVs Arrive in the UK

Minimised Frame, Maximised 3D

That’s the tagline LG is slapping on its latest and greatest range of Cinema 3D TVs that has just launched here in the UK. Design is one of the main emphases with the company’s four new models, with incredibly thin bezels that give the impression of an edgeless screen.

The LM660T, LM760T, LM860V and LM960V combine the very latest in TV technology with stunning design. These TVs are all 3D, using the passive 3D technology which many manufacturers are now opting for in order to keep down costs in terms of additional 3D glasses, as well as the more comfortable viewing experience that it offers over the flickering Active 3D standard.

Because Passive 3D glasses are cheaper and don’t need to be charged up, LG has bundled 5 pairs with every TV in the new range, perfect for the average family or a group of friends. The bundled glasses are supposedly 20% lighter than those that came with last year’s models from LG, which were already extremely light, so you’re likely to forget you’ve even got these ones on your head.

All models feature LED backlighting which offers a bright and vibrant picture as well as an incredibly thin TV. LG has been touting a new feature called Dual Play Gaming that features on all models. By using two pairs of dedicated Dual Play 3D glasses, two people can play completely different games on the same screen at the same time, each only seeing their own game.

Last but not least, LG’s 2012 Cinema 3D TVs have taken notes from Nintendos Wii console and Apple’s Siri technology for the iPhone when it comes to control. A new Magic Remote allows users to control the TV using motion gestures and even voice control – the latter feature will be added to only the top models later in the month.
