Microsoft have launched two new products which have just gone on sale here in the UK – the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4.
The Microsoft Surface Book is a tablet-come-laptop dubbed “the most powerful Surface laptop to handle any task’. Price wise it weighs in at £2,649 for the device at its highest specifications which include 1TB of storage and Intel Core i7 processor.
128GB, 265GB and 512GB versions are also available with choice of Intel Core i5 or i7. Each Surface Book features 13.5-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 which is detachable from the keyboard/case. Detached from the keyboard the Surface Book can be used as a portable Windows slate along with the supplied Surface Pen. When attached to the keyboard the Surface book benefits from NVIDIA GeForce GPU quality visuals. It isn’t cheap but it is powerful and incredible versatile.The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is the latest in the line of powerful Windows-based business tablets also coming with 1TB and Intel Core i7 procession at its top price package of £2,199. For this you get a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with 2,736 x 1,824 pixel resolution – a generous increase in work area from the Surface Pro 3’s 10.8-incher. This one also comes with Surface Pen for scribing on the move.
