Microsoft’s scan and shop feature for its popular Bing app has been successfully doing the rounds Stateside and was announced for the UK in January has arrived for Window Phone 7 mobile owners on this side of the pond.
Alongside the location, social based services and sweet restaurant deals found in the Bing app, Bing Vision utilizes the camera on your Nokia Lumia 800, or other fancy Windows Phone, as a scanner which can be used to read barcodes, tags and QR codes delivering product information and price comparisons straight to the mobile’s screen before you make a purchase.

The next update for Bing will be a feature which delivers a digital copy of a printed publication when a cover feature or image is scanned with a Windows Phone. This new addition is set for a future update slated for March.
