Moto E set to Repalce Moto G in May?

The Moto G is a decent little smartphone, but it’s looking set to move over this May as Motorola are reportedly gearing up to release its successor, the Motorola Moto E.

A report coming in from Portuguese website Tecnoblog claims to have a document by a local mobile operator that reveals details on the new phone. The information shows off a similar handset to the Budget friendly mid ranged Moto G, but with a few incremental updates and new features.

IT states that a new Moto E will be coming with a 4.3-inch screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal memory plus 1GB of RAM, A 5-megapixel rear camera and 1,900mAh battery.

The Moto E will also come with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat software pre-installed and interestingly enough the listing also states that there will be a version that has a digital TV tuner. Now we have no idea If this Digital TV tuner will be anything that comes outside of Portugal, but it’s an interesting feature none the less.

The leak actually states that there will be three models released: XT1021 (single SIM), XT1022 (dual SIM) and XT1025 (dual SIM with digital TV).

Finally the handset will come in both Dual and single SIM Variants, but it’s still unknown if the device will be released outside of Portugal at all. The handset is tipped to be released in May and with the spec’s that have been released it does look like the Moto G is about to be replaced.
