Any snippet of Motorola news sadly pales in comparison to the announcement that the company’s assets have been snapped up in a $12.5-billion deal with Google – and of course the promise of a Motorola-made Nexus mobile is surely just moments away. But let’s try to focus on the here and now..
With that in mind – Today we hear that Motorola’s HD Droid has been unceremoniously revealed by a fellow tech-blog in a photo showing off the mobile’s use of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, this is seen on a generous qHD 4.5” display rocking a 1280×720 resolution. The Droid is rumoured to come packing 1GHz OMAP dual-core processor, with 1GB of RAM.
For shooting snaps there’s the 8-megapixel rear-camera with flash and speaker and front-facing camera, as well as MicroUSB and HDMI slots for data connectivity. All this fits tidily into the surprisingly compact 8.5mm slim body.
All this is yet to be confirmed by Motorola, as is the shipping date for us here in the UK – where the Droid HD is rumoured to become known as the Milestone HD.
