If you have a Motorola Android device and you’ve been patiently waiting for the much anticipated Ice Cream Sandwich update, you may be interested in knowing that Motorola have just released some information on its update schedule for ICS.

According to the information released, if you have yourself an ‘international version’ of Motorola’s latest Android device the Droid RAZR, you can expect to get the latest version of Android on the smartphone by Q2 this year. This is most probably going to be around June time.

Along with the Droid RAZR there are also a couple other Moto Android devices that are also expected to get the ICS update in Q2, such as the Xoom tablet. The list also specifies devices which are due to get the update in Q3; these are the Xoom 2, Atrix 2 and a few other devices for the American market.

Some users may be disappointed that they will have to wait until summer before they can take advantage of what ICS has to offer. But on the other hand, it’s good to see Motorola keeping their customers informed and up-to-date. If you want to check out the info available, you can head on over to the Motorola support forum which gives some insight as to the necessary testing phases involved before releasing major updates of the Android OS.
